This is a very light-hearted game of a girl exploring the depth, the beauty, and the wonders of a set of fascinating dungeons. Join her journey to meet friendly creatures and collect magical items!

The game is built from scratch using only the MonoGame sprite renderer, all code and assets are create by me and are open source. Currently

Procedural and parametric map

The generated Boolean path map is then brought to the sprite instantiator, which examines the neighboring tiles and randomly assign the tile a sprite in a list of available ones.

With both the path generation and tile control, different styles of rooms can be created, exemplified in the two figures below (fog of war is disabled to show the whole room).

For each room, the map is procedurally generated with several passes, illustrated in the figure on the left.

Each pass is parametrically controlled, and for the latter passes that uses convolution, the kernel can be customized to produce more variety.
